From May through July 2026, Loeb advanced its commitment to pro bono service and community impact through partnerships with clients, legal services organizations and community groups. Our teams devoted their time and talents to supporting artists and creative professionals, entrepreneurs and small business owners, LGBTQIA+ individuals, tenants facing housing instability, and children and families in underserved communities, helping expand access to legal resources and other critical support.

Loeb and Disney Continue Commitment to Pro Bono Legal Services for the Arts Community
Loeb lawyers partnered with in-house counsel from Disney on May 28 to provide pro bono legal services to artists and arts organizations through Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (VLA), a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the arts community through legal assistance and advocacy. Together, the volunteers advised a diverse group of creative professionals, including filmmakers, musicians, visual artists and animators, on a range of legal and business matters affecting their work.
Working in small teams, Loeb and Disney lawyers provided guidance tailored to each client's needs, addressing issues such as copyright protection, production and music agreements, business formation, documentary releases and estate planning. Through the clinic, the volunteers helped clients better understand their rights, protect their creative work and navigate legal challenges related to their artistic endeavors.
The clinic was coordinated with support from Entertainment associate Brandon Zamudio, who also serves as an associate member of VLA's board. Loeb volunteers included partners Roger Arar, Anne Kennedy McGuire and Robyn Mohr; senior counsel Soffia Kuehner Gray and Jim Prestiano; and associates Elena De Santis, Danielle Hardy, Olivia Holmes, Lizzy Pott, Jeff Prystowsky, Sam Raffa, Ruby Lynn Yang and Ali Zarrabi.

Loeb Assists Los Angeles Tenants Through Inner City Law Center Clinic
On June 5, Loeb lawyers and summer associates volunteered at the Tenant Power Toolkit Clinic hosted by Inner City Law Center (ICLC), a Los Angeles-based nonprofit that provides legal services to individuals and families affected by homelessness and poverty. Together, the volunteers assisted tenants threatened with eviction, helping them prepare critical court filings and better understand the legal process.
By providing hands-on support through the Tenant Power Toolkit, the team helped participants preserve potential defenses, avoid default judgments and gain valuable time to pursue additional legal resources. The clinic's work supports broader efforts to promote housing stability and access to justice for vulnerable members of the Los Angeles community.
The Loeb pro bono team included associates Ali Zarrabi as well as the firm's summer associates Lauren Rubino and Rachel Zhang.
Loeb Rejoins ICLS to Assist LGBTQIA+ Clients with Critical Health Care Planning Documents
On June 11, Loeb held its ninth pro bono advance health care directives (AHCDs) clinic in collaboration with Inland Counties Legal Services (ICLS), a nonprofit legal aid organization that provides free civil legal services to low-income residents of Riverside and San Bernardino counties. During the clinic, six LGBTQIA+ clients referred by ICLS received assistance preparing essential health care planning documents, helping ensure their treatment preferences are clearly documented and that trusted decision-makers are equipped to advocate for their wishes when needed.
Throughout the clinic, Loeb volunteers worked one-on-one with participants to review the protections afforded by AHCDs, discuss issues related to gender identity and health care decision-making, and assist in completing and executing the documents to reflect each client’s wishes.

Loeb and Paramount Skydance Join Forces with ICLS for Trademark Pro Bono Clinic
Loeb joined in-house counsel at Paramount Skydance, a firm client, on June 18 to host a virtual trademark pro bono clinic with ICLS.
During the clinic, teams of Loeb and Paramount volunteers worked directly with five small business owners to assess potential trademark risks, conduct preliminary trademark searches and provide guidance on protecting the names, slogans and taglines central to their businesses.
Advanced Media & Technology partner Doug Masters led the training for the clinic. In addition to Doug, the Loeb lawyers that participated as pro bono volunteers included partners Brian Heidelberger, Ryan Martin and Megan Stombock; associate Anson Lam and the firm's summer associates Sara Fray and Bobby Peretti.
Loeb Pride Hosts Firmwide Celebration Honoring LGBTQ+ Community and Pro Bono Service
In recognition of Pride Month, on June 23, the firm’s Loeb Pride affinity group hosted a firmwide celebration bringing together lawyers, paralegals and staff to celebrate the firm's LGBTQ+ community and its allies. The event highlighted Loeb's continued commitment to fostering inclusion and supporting LGBTQ+ individuals through meaningful pro bono and community engagement efforts.
The program featured remarks from Loeb Pride leadership and representatives from ICLS and recognized volunteers who have contributed to the firm's LGBTQ+ pro bono initiatives. The event provided an opportunity to reflect on the impact of these efforts over the past year, celebrate the contributions of dedicated volunteers and reaffirm Loeb's support for the LGBTQ+ community.

Loeb and City National Bank Continue Pro Bono Partnership with LAFLA to Support the Skid Row Community
Loeb lawyers and summer associates once again joined in-house counsel from City National Bank on July 15 to provide pro bono legal services at a clinic hosted by the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles (LAFLA), a nonprofit that helps Los Angeles County residents navigate legal challenges and secure critical rights and protections. Together, the volunteers assisted community members seeking guidance on a wide range of legal issues, many of which centered on housing-related concerns.
Throughout the clinic, the team met one-on-one with clients facing housing instability and other legal challenges, helping them better understand their rights, available resources and potential next steps. By providing practical legal support tailored to each individual's circumstances, the volunteers helped connect community members with information and assistance to address pressing legal needs.
The clinic was planned and facilitated by partner Lance Jurich. The participating Loeb pro bono team included partner Jill Jones; associate Anson Lam and the firm’s summer associates Lauren Rubino and Rachel Zhang.
Loeb ACED-LA Participates in Inner City Law Center's Back-to-School Drive for Local Students
On July 15, firm’s Attorneys of Color and Ethnic Diversity (ACED)–LA affinity group partnered with Inner City Law Center to support its annual Back-to-School Drive, helping provide 200 backpacks filled with essential school supplies for children experiencing poverty. The program aims to equip students with the tools they need to begin the school year prepared and confident.
The event provided an opportunity for Loeb volunteers to give back alongside community partners while supporting children and families ahead of the new school year.
