Loeb & Loeb Honored with Corporate Leadership Award by Jewish Vocational Service

LOS ANGELES – Loeb & Loeb LLP was honored today by Jewish Vocational Service (JVS), an L.A. based non-profit, with the organization’s Corporate Leadership Award at the 13th annual JVS Strictly Business Luncheon. The award recognizes the firm’s long history of corporate philanthropy and strong commitment to JVS, which provides vital employment and career services to Angelenos.

“Since opening our doors over 100 years ago, Loeb & Loeb has worked to support Los Angeles community development, helping our clients and community partners overcome obstacles and seize opportunities to achieve success,” said Loeb & Loeb Co-Chair John Frankenheimer. “Philanthropy and community involvement are part of our corporate culture and we are humbled to be receiving this award from such an esteemed, community-serving organization as JVS.”

The event, entitled “Strictly Business L.A.: Reinventing our Future,” forecasted the new job market as Angelenos begin the process of recovery. JVS' Strictly Business Luncheon brings together non-profit, government and corporate leaders to highlight innovative ideas regarding the health of employment in Los Angeles.

"Without the generous support and hands on volunteerism of companies like Loeb & Loeb, it simply would not be possible for JVS to continue meeting the urgent needs of job seekers throughout Los Angeles. We are pleased to welcome firm partner Christopher Kelly onto our 2010 Board of Directors and are proud to honor Loeb & Loeb with our highest honor, the Corporate Leadership Award, for their long tradition of corporate philanthropy," said JVS CEO Vivian Seigel.

“It’s an honor to be elected to the JVS Board of Directors,” said Kelly, Co-Chair of Loeb & Loeb’s Los Angeles Corporate Department. “During these trying economic times, the services provided by JVS are especially crucial. This organization has successfully helped countless members of the L.A. community find jobs and given them the tools to see success in them and I look forward to working closely with their leaders to continue this tradition of excellence.”
