Loeb Represents Brian Tyler in Sale of Music Rights and Royalty Streams to Cutting Edge Group

Loeb & Loeb represented acclaimed film and television composer Brian Tyler in the acquisition of his music rights and royalty streams to Cutting Edge Group, a leading investor in media music rights.

Loeb guided Brian throughout the sale, advising on the multifaceted rights, royalty and contractual considerations associated with the transfer of an extensive catalog of film and television compositions. 

The acquisition encompasses rights to more than 60,000 minutes of music, making it one of the largest transactions ever completed involving the catalog of a single film and television composer. Brian’s portfolio includes the soundtracks of the Fast and the Furious franchise, the Now You See Me films, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Crazy Rich Asians, Iron Man 3, Avengers: Age Of Ultron, Thor: The Dark World, Rambo: Last Blood, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone universe and the first “Official F1 Theme” for Formula 1, which airs during the global broadcast of every race. The films represented in the catalog have collectively generated more than $21 billion at the global box office.
