Loeb & Loeb represented former U.S. Women's National Team players Brandi Chastain, Leslie Osborne, Danielle Slaton and Aly Wagner in their efforts to bring a National Women’s Soccer League franchise team to the San Francisco Bay Area.
The new franchise, co-founded by global investment firm Sixth Street in partnership with Brandi, Danielle, Leslie and Aly, will be known as Bay FC and will begin playing in their home stadium, PayPal Park in San Jose, California, in the 2024 season. In addition to their role as co-founders, the “Fab Four” will serve as ambassadors for Bay FC.
The Loeb deal team was led by Brian Socolow, co-chair of the firm’s Sports industry practice, and Ronelle Porter, assistant deputy chair of the Capital Markets & Corporate department, and included Executive Compensation & Employee Benefits partner Marina Casani and Tax partner Jamie Null.
