New York, NY (April 5, 2021) — Loeb & Loeb is pleased to announce the arrival of Alex Weniger-Araujo as a partner in the Capital Markets & Corporate Department in the firm’s New York office. With a strong technology background, Weniger-Araujo focuses on capital markets transactions, corporate and venture finance, and corporate governance matters.
“We are proud to work with clients on transactions that are redefining the business landscape globally, particularly in the technology sector,” said Mitch Nussbaum, vice chair of Loeb & Loeb and co-chair of the firm’s Capital Markets & Corporate Department. “Alex’s extensive experience aligns well with our firm’s core areas of focus and will be of great value to clients as we continue to work on some of the most sophisticated capital markets deals.”
Weniger-Araujo represents both foreign and domestic emerging-growth and established tech-focused public and private issuers and investors on a full spectrum of legal and operational issues, including equity crowdfunding, private placement, public offerings, special-purpose acquisition company (SPAC) initial public offerings and private investment in public equity financing transactions. He also advises clients on the public reporting requirements of issuers and shareholders.
“Loeb is a leader in capital markets transactions, including SPAC deals, an area that is also important to me and to my clients,” said Weniger-Araujo. “I am excited to join and collaborate with such a widely respected team of lawyers.”
“We are proud to welcome Alex to Loeb and to continue to expand our already considerable bench of capital markets and corporate practitioners,” said Laurie Ruckel, managing partner of Loeb’s New York office.
Weniger-Araujo’s arrival comes directly after the addition of Lynia Lau in the firm’s Hong Kong office last week and Andrei Sirabionian’s arrival at the New York office in February. Across the firm, Weniger-Araujo is the seventh partner to join Loeb & Loeb in the first quarter of 2021.
Weniger-Araujo joins Loeb & Loeb from Ellenoff Grossman & Schole LLP. He earned his J.D. from Loyola University College of Law and his B.A. from George Mason University.
