Loeb & Loeb Advises Blackfin in Sale to Entertainment One

Loeb & Loeb LLP represented unscripted television producer Blackfin in its sale to Entertainment One. As part of the deal, Blackfin’s founder and CEO Geno McDermott will serve as eOne’s president of U.S. alternative programming, unscripted television. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The move is part of eOne’s effort to expand its unscripted business internationally. As part of eOne, Blackfin will continue to produce documentaries and projects in the vein of true crime, natural history and factual content.

The Loeb & Loeb deal team acting on behalf of Blackfin was led by partners Steve Hurdle and Arash Khalili, and included lawyers Tilda Shin, Ann Chen, Brian Kollatz, Shahrooz Shahnavaz, Marla Aspinwall, Brandon Cherry and Rachel Kiwi.
