Loeb & Loeb Elects Seven Attorneys to Partnership

NEW YORK – Loeb & Loeb LLP announced today that seven attorneys have been added to the firm’s partnership. Daniel B. Besikof, Nichole D. Cortese, David J. Levine and Anthony Pirraglia in the New York office; Tiffany A. Dunn and Denise M. Stevens in the Nashville office; and Steven E. Hurdle, Jr. in the Los Angeles office have been promoted to partner.

Below is brief biographical information about each of the firm’s new partners:

Daniel B. Besikof – Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Creditors’ Rights, New York
Dan Besikof represents a variety of stakeholders in chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, corporate restructurings and liquidations, including indenture trustees, lenders, administrative and collateral agents, trade creditors, lessors, buyers and sellers of claims, investors, committees, and chapter 7 and liquidating trustees. Besikof also represents defendants in bankruptcy-related litigation, with an emphasis on fraudulent transfer defense, and advises clients in commercial litigation matters. In addition, he has represented lenders and agents in the negotiation and documentation of secured and unsecured credit facilities. Besikof received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and his B.S. from the University of Wisconsin.

Nichole D. Cortese – Real Estate, New York
Nichole Cortese practices in the area of commercial real estate law, concentrating on the representation of both landlords and tenants in office and retail leasing and subleasing. In addition, she has a wide range of experience in related matters, including commercial real estate sales and acquisitions, real estate brokerage and agency agreements and the assessment of the real estate aspects of mergers and acquisitions. Cortese received her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and her B.A., magna cum laude, from New York University.

Tiffany A. Dunn – Entertainment and Media, Nashville
Tiffany Dunn’s practice focuses on transactions in the entertainment business and intellectual property protection and enforcement, particularly within the music industry. She has a depth of knowledge in copyright, trademark and intellectual property law, counseling clients on consumer branding and marketing efforts. She also practices general corporate and transactional law. Her clients include legacy artists, recording artists, songwriters, producers, corporate brands, authors, publishing companies, record labels and management companies. Dunn received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Tennessee College of Law and a B.B.A., cum laude, from Belmont University.

Steven E. Hurdle, Jr. – Corporate, Los Angeles
Steven Hurdle advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, capital-raising transactions, joint ventures, and other corporate transactional matters. Hurdle concentrates his practice in the media and entertainment, food and beverage, and technology industries, with clients including private equity funds, strategic buyers and investors, and securities issuers. He received his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles and a B.S. in Business Administration, summa cum laude, from the University of Southern California.

David J. Levine – Capital Markets, New York
David Levine focuses his practice on corporate and securities matters, representing clients in the life sciences and other industries. He has substantial experience representing issuers, placement agents and underwriters in connection with initial and secondary public offerings, private placements of debt and equity securities, PIPE transactions, registered direct offerings and alternative public offerings. He also has experience with venture capital investments, private equity transactions, public and private mergers and acquisitions and secured and unsecured loan transactions. Levine received his J.D., magna cum laude, from New York Law School and his B.A. from the University of Maryland.

Anthony Pirraglia – Finance, New York
Anthony Pirraglia focuses his practice in the area of commercial finance, representing both borrowers and lenders in connection with unsecured and collateralized lending transactions. Pirraglia also practices as special counsel representing institutional investors in the purchase of directly placed corporate securities. In addition, he represents mezzanine lenders, private equity funds and other investors in their loans to and investments in companies in connection with acquisitions and corporate restructures. He received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and his B.A., cum laude, from New York University.

Denise M. Stevens – Entertainment and Media, Nashville
Denise Stevens concentrates her practice on entertainment and intellectual property transactions, primarily in the music industry. Her principal clients include recording artists, songwriters, producers, authors, music industry executives, record labels, music publishers, motion picture and television production companies, and television personalities. Stevens received her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and her B.A., cum laude, from the University of California, Los Angeles.
