Loeb & Loeb LLP represented Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) in the sale of a music publishing catalog, comprised of music from SPE’s film and television releases between 1993 and 2012, to ole Music Publishing LLC.
The catalog includes compositions from a variety of TV shows such as Wheel of Fortune, Breaking Bad, Dawson's Creek, The Nanny and Rescue Me, and films such as Angels & Demons, The Da Vinci Code, Groundhog Day, Rudy, Jumanji, Legends of the Fall, Moneyball, Mr. Deeds, The Patriot, The Quick and the Dead, Superbad, Step Brothers, Stuart Little, and Hotel Transylvania, among others.
The Loeb & Loeb deal team representing Sony Pictures Entertainment in this transaction consisted of partner and practice chair John T. Frankenheimer and senior counsel Amy B. Ortner of the Music Industry Practice, together with partner Arash Khalili of the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions Practice.
