Sale of Litton Entertainment

Loeb & Loeb LLP represented independent television producer and distributor Litton Entertainment in the sale of a majority ownership interest in the company to Hearst, one of the nation’s largest diversified media, information and services companies. The deal was announced January 6. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Litton Entertainment is a leading provider of educational and informational programming to networks in the family entertainment category. Litton produces more than 800 hours of Emmy Award-winning scripted and unscripted programming for major broadcast networks and station groups each year, including ABC, CBS, NBC and The CW.
