We provided strategic advice in connection with the commercial relationship among USOPC, the Salt Lake City-Utah Committee for the Games, and the International Olympic Committee. The selection of Salt Lake City marks the second time that the city will host the Winter Games and the fifth Winter Games to take place in the U.S.
Founded in 1894 and headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the USOPC serves as both the National Olympic Committee and National Paralympic Committee for the United States. The USOPC is focused on serving America’s elite athletes, and is responsible for fielding U.S. teams for the Olympic, Paralympic, Youth Olympic, Pan American and Parapan American Games, and serving as the steward of the Olympic and Paralympic Movement in the U.S.
