Overview
Lawrence Zheng concentrates his practice on intellectual property enforcement and litigation, with a focus on patents, trademarks, copyrights and unfair competition. Lawrence started his law practice as a litigator in a China boutique IP-focused law firm and has extensive experience with the handling of complex IP cases in every substantive IP practice area. Lawrence has handled many high-profile intellectual property cases across multiple jurisdictions in China, spanning technical areas such as pharmaceuticals and chemistry, telecommunications and mechanical devices. He also has experience counseling on matters involving standard essential patents (SEP) and FRAND licensing. Lawrence has handled many cases that have been selected as exemplary cases by the People’s Courts in China.
In addition, Lawrence has experience overseeing anti-counterfeiting and anti-piracy initiatives for U.S. and European multinational companies, along with experience in matters related to administrative enforcement, criminal enforcement and customs seizures.
Lawrence is also experienced with assisting China-based clients with defending or commencing IP related disputes in foreign jurisdictions such as the U.S., European Union and Southeast Asia.
