Overview
Steve Byrd has more than 20 years of experience in the entertainment and media industry, and his practice spans all phases of television, motion picture and digital content development, production and distribution. He works with clients on the optioning and acquisition of rights, original screenplays and novels; the engagement of writing, directing, acting, consulting and producing services; television development, option and series deals; day-to-day production legal; and distribution agreements. Throughout his career, Steve has been involved in the negotiation and drafting of a broad variety of agreements, including talent, production, distribution, animation, licensing, consumer products, book publishing and music deals for a diverse range of productions.
Prior to joining Loeb & Loeb, Steve managed the business and legal affairs of Big Idea, a leading producer of faith-based children’s and family programming. Steve is an antique camera collector and photographer, a former collegiate athlete and a father of children with special needs. He enjoys the cinema, collegiate sports and hiking with his family.
