Loeb Represents Canadian Hall of Fame Inductee Corey Hart in Sale of Music Catalogue

Loeb & Loeb represented Canadian Hall of Fame inductee, artist and songwriter Corey Hart in sale of his music publishing catalogue to Peermusic, the world’s largest global independent music publishing and neighbouring rights administration company. The acquisition includes the publishing copyrights for Hart’s entire music catalogue consisting of over 200 songs.

According to the press release, Peermusic will also represent Corey Hart for neighbouring rights via its peermusic neighbouring rights division. Corey Hart was given the highest honour a musician in Canada can receive by being inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2019. The award-winning artist has sold over 16 million records worldwide highlighted by nine U.S. Billboard Top 40 Hits. His tracks scored an impressive 32 top 40 singles in Canada, including 12 Top 10 Hits. The Canadian music legend is also a Grammy nominee as well as ASCAP, JUNO and multiple Quebec ADISQ award winner.
 
The Loeb deal team that represented Corey Hart in the transaction included Music Industry chair John Frankenheimer and Entertainment associate William Jones.
