Loeb Tapped as Production Counsel for Sony Masterworks Broadway’s “Witness Uganda” Album Produced by Client OHenry Productions

Loeb & Loeb is pleased to announce that the firm is serving as production counsel for Sony Masterworks Broadway‘s studio recording of “Witness Uganda (An American Musical),” an album of music from the powerful musical envisioned by creative duo Matt Gould and Griffin Matthews. The album is produced by Loeb client OHenry Productions.

Available on February 11, 2022, the album will feature 24 songs from the show, as performed by Matthews and a star-studded cast, including multi-superstar Cynthia Erivo, Grammy-winning recording artist Ledisi, and stage-and-screen stars Nicolette Robinson, Emma Hunton and Kristolyn Lloyd, among others. Witness Uganda is a critically acclaimed musical inspired by Matthews’ volunteer mission to Uganda where he bonded with a group of teenage students, and created a home away from home.

The musical initially premiered at the American Repertory Theater at Harvard University in 2014, then made its way to Second Stage in 2015 as Invisible Thread. After a revamp, Witness Uganda premiered on the West Coast at The Wallis in 2019, and was met with positive feedback from various press outlets such as the Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, CBS and HuffPost.

The Loeb deal team serving as production counsel includes Entertainment attorneys Tiffany Dunn, David Manella, Terri Nolan and Devon Spencer.
