Loeb & Loeb Promotes Four Attorneys to Partnership

New York, Washington DC and Hong Kong (Sept. 3, 2019) – Loeb & Loeb LLP is pleased to announce the election of four attorneys to the firm’s partnership. The new partners are Frank D. D’Angelo in New York, Wallace Lau in Hong Kong and John D. Taliaferro in Washington, DC.

Frank D. D’Angelo – Litigation, New York 
Frank maintains a diverse litigation practice, with a particular emphasis on intellectual property matters for music publishers, record companies, motion picture studios, television networks, production companies and media personalities. Frank also litigates complex commercial disputes on behalf of financial institutions, high net worth estates, fashion and apparel companies, and retail businesses. In addition to his litigation practice, he advises clients regarding defamation issues, regulatory investigations and contract disputes. Prior to joining Loeb, Frank clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. He earned his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and his bachelor’s degree from Duke University. 

Wallace Lau – Capital Markets and Corporate, Hong Kong 
Wallace represents both listed and private clients in a variety of corporate transactions, including initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, open offers, rights issues and general offers. He also advises companies on compliance matters concerning securities laws and listing rules in Hong Kong. Wallace received both his bachelor’s degree and postgraduate certificate in law from the University of Hong Kong.

John D. (J.D.) Taliaferro – Litigation, Washington DC 
J.D. has extensive experience in civil litigation matters and regulatory matters before federal agencies, including the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Transportation, and has held significant roles in a number of complex civil litigations and administrative proceedings. J.D.’s practice also involves counseling clients with respect to deceptive advertising and other consumer issues. His practice also includes deep experience representing government entities in a variety of trial and appellate matters. J.D.’s public sector work has included representing government entities in unclaimed property recovery and the successful representation of the city of Los Angeles in a long-running dispute with airlines over rates and charges at Los Angeles World Airports. J.D. received his legal degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech.
