Loeb & Loeb Bolsters Award-Winning Entertainment Law Practice With New Entertainment Finance Chair Paul Swanson

Loeb & Loeb LLP announced today that entertainment finance lawyer Paul D. Swanson has joined the firm’s Los Angeles office as a partner and Chair of the Entertainment Finance practice. Swanson focuses his law practice on national and diversified corporate, intellectual property and entertainment-related financing transactions. 

“Paul is known for handling many of the industry’s most complex and sophisticated financing transactions,” said Scott Edel, chair of Loeb & Loeb’s Entertainment Practice. “He is an accomplished and highly regarded attorney in the industry and will be an extraordinary complement to our team.  We are thrilled to welcome him.”

Swanson negotiates complex financings for the production and distribution of a wide range of media, including motion pictures, television programs, video games and digital content. He represents leading financial institutions, investment banks, independent production companies, producers and others in structuring and administering multi-tranche debt and equity credit facilities, co-productions, co-financings, single-project production loans, and other financings. He has also participated in multibillion-dollar media merger and acquisition and securitization transactions and advises clients on an array of bankruptcy and restructuring matters.

Swanson was previously with Irell & Manella LLP, where he was a partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office. He earned his J.D. from UCLA School of Law and his B.A., magna cum laude, from Saint John’s University in Minnesota.
