What does “natural” mean? In the absence of clear regulatory guidance, advertising a product as natural can be a risky proposition. This session will examine developments in false advertising litigation arising from labeling and marketing food and other products as “natural.” It will explore the treatment of “natural” by the National Advertising Division (NAD) and consider research on consumer understanding of “natural.”
