Three Related Cross-Border Loans Totaling $154 Million to Entities Controlled by Mexican Family

Represented the New York branch of a major foreign bank in connection with three affiliated loan transactions, totaling approximately $154 million, to entities controlled by one of the wealthiest families in Mexico. The loan transactions involved substantial cross-border issues because the borrowers were Canadian limited partnerships with a Delaware general partner and the guarantors were Mexican companies, each granting security in accounts located in the U.S. and held at an affiliate of the lender.
