Defense of Shareholder Class Action Alleging Misstated Revenues

Represented China Integrated Energy, Inc., a U.S. public company with operations in China, as well as its senior management, in the defense of a shareholder class action alleging that the company misstated revenue in certain regulatory filings. Shortly after the Supreme Court’s ruling in Halliburton, the federal district court denied class certification in this case, finding that the plaintiff had failed to establish that there was an efficient market for the company’s stock.
