Overview

Don Miller has extensive trial, arbitration and appellate experience. He focuses his practice on complex litigation matters in several sectors, from health care, to intellectual property, entertainment, real estate, and employment.

In the health care arena, Don advises third party administrators in connection with claims involving managed care, denial of medical benefits, coverage disputes and billings issues.

Don has successfully litigated a wide range of IP and entertainment issues on behalf of prominent clients in the motion picture, television, music and book publishing industries, including, for example, accounting, distribution and contract disputes; copyright and credit disputes; anti-piracy issues; film finance; and trademark, false advertising and unfair competition claims.

Don’s other complex litigation experience is diverse and includes handling multimillion-dollar disputes for a wide range of clients, from governmental agencies to large companies to individuals. Examples of such disputes include patent infringement, unclaimed property, trusts and estates, breach of contract, legal malpractice, partnership dissolution, post-acquisition earn-out claims, and insurance coverage.

Don’s accounting and finance background is invaluable to his practice, especially with determining and assessing damages, handling damages experts, and advising clients on litigation and business risks.
