Overview

Shalom Stephens advises clients on all aspects of advertising, marketing, sweepstakes and promotions and Internet law, as well as issues pertaining to state co-venturer laws and charitable sales promotions. She regularly drafts and negotiates a wide variety of agreements, such as talent and sponsorship agreements, sweepstakes, contest and games official rules, web site terms and conditions and privacy policies. In addition, Shalom also has experience with state and local laws regulating the promotion marketing industry, including ensuring legal compliance for multi-jurisdiction promotion marketing initiatives, preparing responses to governmental inquiries and reviewing promotional advertising copy for compliance with federal and state laws.

Prior to practicing law, Shalom worked at prominent promotion marketing and branding agencies where she planned and implemented national promotions, planned national advertising campaigns, developed advertising objectives and strategies and analyzed market research for well-known brands in the retail, packaged goods, alcoholic beverage, tobacco and petroleum industries. She was also the editor of Promotion Marketing Law, Seventh Edition published by the Promotion Marketing Association and a frequent speaker on the topic of promotion law at industry conferences.
