Overview

Jessica Jesselson maintains a broad transactional practice focused on advertising, marketing, media, and technology. She has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial, entertainment and technology-driven agreements and transactions, including advertising agency and client agreements, vendor agreements, celebrity talent and influencer endorsement agreements, collaboration agreements, sponsorship agreements and licensing agreements. 

Jessica works with clients on promotional and advertising initiatives, particularly those involving claim substantiation, sweepstakes and contests, marketing campaigns, loyalty programs, and social media and user-generated content. She also regularly manages domestic and international trademark portfolios, including assisting with the selection, clearance, prosecution, registration and maintenance of trademarks, as well as overseeing foreign counsel on both brand management and enforcement actions. In addition, she represents clients in administrative proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. 

Before joining the firm, Jessica served as the director of corporate counsel at Saks & Company, a premier luxury department store chain. In this role, she structured and negotiated complex agreements across core business areas, with a primary focus on marketing, digital initiatives and technology-driven vendor relationships. She also acted as a key member of the company’s CCPA/CPRA task force, implementing internal privacy compliance programs and advising on emerging data privacy regulations. In addition, Jessica worked closely with cross-functional teams to support daily operations and business priorities.
