Overview

Scott DeWeerd advises entrepreneurs, business owners, private equity and hedge fund principals, and other high net worth individuals and families in their estate planning, asset protection planning and related tax matters. His practice includes the formation, operation and succession of family offices and closely held businesses, and structuring and compliance for philanthropic vehicles including private foundations. In addition, he advises fiduciaries in trust and estate administration and litigation matters and represents taxpayers in disputes with the Internal Revenue Service and other tax authorities.
