Loeb & Loeb is pleased to announce that the firm and several of its lawyers were recently honored by Lawyers for Children and Rehabilitation Through the Arts in recognition of their ongoing commitment to pro bono service and community impact.
On Oct. 9, 2025, Loeb of counsel Greg Schwed and associate Chloe Gordils were honored by Lawyers for Children (LFC) at the organization’s second annual Pro Bono Breakfast. LFC works to ensure that children involved in foster care, youth justice, child custody and other family court proceedings have a voice in decisions that affect their lives.
Greg received the inaugural Seth Gelblum Award—created in memory of former LFC board chair and Loeb partner Seth Gelblum—in recognition of his eight years of collaboration with the organization’s appellate counsel on numerous matters, all resulting in favorable outcomes for clients. Chloe received LFC’s Pro Bono Award for her work alongside Greg in securing the affirmation of a lower court’s stay-away order on behalf of a client who had been kidnapped and abused by a family member.
In addition, on Nov. 7, Loeb was honored by Rehabilitation Through the Arts (RTA) with the organization’s Cornerstone Award at its Alumni Showcase Gala. Loeb senior counsel Brittany Berckes, who serves on RTA’s board of directors, accepted the award on the firm’s behalf.
For more than a decade, Loeb has partnered with RTA on a range of pro bono initiatives, including matters related to the award-winning feature film Sing Sing, inspired by RTA’s program at Sing Sing Maximum Security Prison; agreements supporting RTA’s “ReImagining Myself” transitional reentry program; and matters related to the performance of the Broadway play Thoughts of a Colored Man at Green Haven Correctional Facility.
