Loeb & Loeb Deepens Commercial and Fiduciary Litigation Bench with New L.A. Partner Alex Stolyar

LOS ANGELES (January 23, 2018)Loeb & Loeb LLP announced today that commercial litigator Oleg (Alex) Stolyar has joined the firm as a partner in the Los Angeles office, bolstering the firm’s nationwide litigation platform. Stolyar maintains a national practice prosecuting and defending high-stakes breach-of-fiduciary-duty and contractual disputes.

Stolyar joins Loeb & Loeb from Akin Gump, where he was co-chair of the Fiduciary Litigation practice. He has diverse experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in all phases of complex commercial litigation in both state and federal courts, as well as alternative dispute resolution proceedings. He focuses on disputes between majority and minority shareholders, limited and general partners, founders and investors, joint venturers, trustees and beneficiaries, and other principals and their fiduciaries.

Stolyar has represented Fortune 500 companies as well as a major foreign government and multiple international conglomerates. He also advises nonprofit and corporate directors regarding their fiduciary obligations, and is a frequent speaker on fiduciary duties. In addition to his fiduciary litigation practice, he has litigated cases involving a broad range of legal issues, including breach of contract, fraud, RICO, trademark and copyright infringement, probate and commercial real estate disputes.

Stolyar has served on the board of directors for the Beverly Hills Bar Foundation and is one of the founders of the Los Angeles East European Bar Association. He earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School and he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Policy and International Affairs from Princeton University, where he graduated summa cum laude.
