Mergers and Acquisitions Roundtable

California Lawyer
Last December business publications were predicting that 2011 would be a boom year for deals because companies with cash would be hunting for strategic acquisitions. And for the first quarter of the year, M&A activity certainly is up compared to the same time last year, with the March announcement of the $39 billion AT&T/T-Mobile deal leading the way.

Loeb & Loeb partner Allan Duboff was one of three experts recently invited by California Lawyer magazine to participate in a panel discussion to examine the reasons for the increase in deals. Mr. Duboff and fellow panelists also examined other timely M&A topics such as the threat of litigation, Revlon duties, the impact of In re Del Monte on transactions, and issues involving acquisitions of private companies.
