Michelle La Mar to Co-Chair Loeb & Loeb Employment and Labor Team

Los Angeles - Loeb & Loeb LLP announced that Michelle La Mar has been named a Co-Chair of the firm's Employment and Labor Team.  Loeb & Loeb's Employment and Labor Team acts as outside counsel to businesses and private entities throughout the country with respect to their ongoing employment and labor law obligations.  Ms. La Mar has practiced in the area of labor and employment law for nearly 15 years.

Ms. La Mar will lead the team from the West Coast along with Loeb & Loeb senior partner Michael Zweig, an experienced employment litigator based in the firm's New York office.

In addition to serving as Co-Chair of the Employment and Labor Team, Ms. La Mar will continue her labor and employment practice which is comprised of both counseling and litigation.  She routinely advises employers in conjunction with wage and hour issues, downsizings, terminations, harassment investigations, mandated leaves of absence, disability accommodation requirements, executive employment agreements and employment-related issues associated with mergers and acquisitions.  Ms. La Mar's litigation experience is equally broad based and includes civil and administrative trials and hearings, as well as the defense of wage and hour and other employment-related class actions.

Ms. La Mar will co-chair a growing bi-coastal practice group at Loeb & Loeb.  In 2005 the firm hired Ivy Kagan Bierman, a prominent specialist in entertainment industry labor law, who regularly counsels entertainment companies about the SAG, AFTRA, DGA, WGA, Teamsters and IATSE agreements.
