Loeb & Loeb LLP Enhances Private Equity Practice With Addition of Barry T. Mehlman in New York

NEW YORK Loeb & Loeb LLP announced today that private equity attorney Barry T. Mehlman will join the Corporate Department as Partner in the New York office.

Mr. Mehlman’s practice focuses on the representation of private equity firms in connection with the purchase, management and sale of middle market businesses.

Mr. Mehlman joins Loeb & Loeb from Pitney Hardin where he was Of Counsel.  Prior to that he had his own law firm, Maloney, Mehlman & Katz, where he practiced for 11 years. He was an attorney with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) from 1981 to 1983 and Barry practiced with Rogers & Wells from 1984-1991.

Mr. Mehlman earned a B.A. from Swarthmore College, an M.B.A. from New York University Graduate School of Business Administration and a J.D. (with honors) from Hofstra University School of Law.
