At the Intersection of Wealth Transfer Planning and Life Insurance: Navigating New and Existing Life Insurance Plans with Looming Tax Changes on the Horizon

Loeb & Loeb LLP is proud to announce that D.C. Trusts & Estates Practice Leader, Todd Steinberg will be speaking during the Goldenzweig Memorial Lecture on April 18, 2024.

From the event website:
This presentation will provide insights into current and future wealth transfer planning opportunities with life insurance, including Private Placement Life Insurance and Split Dollar.  We will discuss how life insurance can play a key role in a client's overall investment portfolio/business/balance sheet and ways to properly analyze, implement and/or refine various life insurance planning strategies.  For existing life insurance plans, we will review how to evaluate a plan's performance, the potential hurdles and the steps that should be considered if a plan or policy is underperforming.  The discussion will conclude with a review of the importance for high net worth families and closely held business owners of maintaining life insurance in light of potentially lower estate/gift tax exemptions and higher marginal tax rates.
