Going Green: Updates and Best Practices in Green Marketing

Marketers increasingly make claims about the effect of a product on the environment, the origin and quality of its ingredients, and how it can be disposed of, all of which fall under the term "Green Marketing." They may also display seals and certifications that offer some assurance about environmental claims. All of these green marketing activities are governed by state and federal advertising laws as well as the FTC's Green Guides, which are currently being revised.

This webinar, presented by David G. Mallen, deputy director of the National Advertising Division of the Better Business Bureau, and Kenneth R. Florin, partner and co-chair of Loeb's Advanced Media and Technology Department and chair of its Emerging Media Practice Group, will describe the different kinds of green claims that are made and whether they can stand up to the FTC's Green Guides, as well as best practices for companies that want to promote sustainability or the "green" qualities of their products and services.
