Loeb & Loeb Attorney Jessica Lee Receives NY State Bar’s Outstanding Young Lawyer Award

Loeb & Loeb attorney Jessica B. Lee has been awarded the New York State Bar Association’s Outstanding Young Lawyer Award for 2015. The award, presented by the association's Young Lawyers Section, honors attorneys in practice for fewer than 10 years who have demonstrated outstanding service to both the community and the legal profession.

Lee, a senior associate in the firm’s Advanced Media and Technology Department, accepted the award on January 28 during the Bar Association's Annual Meeting in New York City.

"Jessica is an inspiring role model for young lawyers in her commitment to giving back to her community," said Sarah Gold, chair of the Young Lawyers Section. "Through her varied work within the criminal justice system, with law students and aspiring film makers, she has shown how powerful community involvement can be for a young lawyer."

An advocate for at-risk teenagers with an interest in the arts, Lee concentrates her practice on emerging media, technology, advertising and promotions, privacy and intellectual property matters. She has served on several boards of youth-in-the arts programs. She is secretary and a board member for Reel Works Teen Filmmaking, a nonprofit that provides free filmmaking programs for teens.

Lee has also served a mentor for the Practicing Attorneys for Law Students Programs and sits on the board of Hudson Link for Higher Education in Prison. She co-chairs the IP & Technology Committee of the Metropolitan Black Bar Association and is a member of the Public Service Committee and the Special Committee for Prison Reform of the Federal Bar Council.

The 74,000-member New York State Bar Association is the largest voluntary state bar association in the nation. It was founded in 1876.
