Represented a disabled U.S. Army veteran in a significant pro bono victory resulting in our client securing a substantial increase in benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Our client, who suffers from a degenerative joint condition connected with his military service, and whose health has further declined due to depression resulting from his disability, as well as other medical conditions, had made several unsuccessful attempts to increase his disability rating in recent years. With the help of Loeb & Loeb’s Veterans Assistance Project team, we were able to raise the his disability rating from 10% to 80%, which increased his monthly monetary benefit from $127 to $1,503 and saw him immediately receive over $15,000 in back pay from the VA.
