National Institute for Trial Advocacy: Building Trial Skills

Loeb & Loeb LLP is proud to announce that partner Laura McNally will be participating as faculty in the upcoming "Building Trial Skills: Chicago." The program will be hosted by National Institute for Trial Advocacy on March 5 - March 11, 2017 at Loyola University School of Law.

From the event website:
As a participant in Building Trial Skills, you will use NITA’s learning-by-doing method to practice and  perfect your skills in the challenging arts of trial advocacy and persuasion.

In a simulated trial setting, you will be performing:

  • Opening statements and closing arguments
  • Impeachment

  • Direct and cross examinations

  • Voir dire

Following your live and digitally recorded performances, you will be given feedback and critique from the renowned NITA faculty. There will be a bench trial in the middle of the week and to conclude the program, you will conduct a full jury trial, then have a chance to ask the jurors questions and hear their feedback. You will be able to choose a criminal or civil case file for your performances and trial.
