Loeb Team Highlighted in Am Law Litigation Daily for Securing Victory for TPG

A Loeb & Loeb team received a shout-out in the Am Law Litigation Daily’s “Litigator of the Week” feature for securing a decisive victory on behalf of nine entities associated with TPG Capital Management Group in long-running litigation arising from a December 2006 recapitalization of a Greek telecommunications group known as Hellas.

In December 2025, the New York Court of Appeals affirmed a ruling of the Appellate Division, which had found that the plaintiffs presented no evidence to support alter ego liability against the TPG-related defendants. In a concurring opinion, Chief Judge Rowan Wilson further observed that the record “is devoid of evidence sufficient to create a triable issue that the TPG defendants engaged in fraud.”

The Loeb team representing the TPG-related entities includes Litigation partners Tad O’Connor and Andrew Elkin and senior counsel Katie Gauthier.
