Loeb & Loeb is pleased to announce the arrival of Holt Goddard as a partner in the Capital Markets practice in the firm’s New York office.
“Holt brings extensive experience in handling complex capital markets and financing transactions,” said Mitch Nussbaum, co-chair of Loeb & Loeb and of the firm’s preeminent SPAC practice. “His insights will be invaluable as clients look to capitalize on strong deal activity and a dynamic U.S. capital markets environment in 2026.”
With three decades of experience, Goddard concentrates his capital markets practice on IPOs, private placements, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, bank financings, SPAC transactions, SEC reporting, procedures and disclosures, and high-yield bond offerings. He represents issuers and underwriters in the U.S. and internationally across a broad range of industries, including shipping, retail, alternative energy, life sciences and media. Goddard draws on years of experience at leading law firms as well as his prior role as general counsel of an international biotechnology company.
“Loeb & Loeb has a large, well-regarded capital markets practice that is a leader in the industry,” said Goddard. “As a part of this talented team, I will be well-positioned to support clients in their most complex transactions.”
“The arrival of Holt helps us meet growing demand for veteran transactional counsel,” said Laurie Ruckel, managing partner of Loeb’s New York office. “We are excited to welcome him to our New York office.”
Goddard is the firm’s first new partner arrival of the year, continuing strategic growth in corporate and capital markets capabilities. He earned his J.D. from Columbia Law School, M.B.A from Yale School of Management and B.S. from University of Florida. He joins from Seward & Kissel LLP.
