Loeb & Loeb Adds Regulatory Partner Kristen R. Klesh In Washington, DC

Loeb & Loeb is pleased to announce the arrival of Kristen R. Klesh as a partner in its Washington, D.C., office. Klesh joins the firm’s Advanced Media and Technology department and will focus on Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) regulatory matters.

“Kristen brings an important skill set to our multidisciplinary team,” said Jim Taylor, chair of Loeb & Loeb’s Advanced Media and Technology department. “She will enable us to provide sophisticated counsel, not only to core life sciences companies, but also to those clients exploring new medical, food or drug products and services requiring regulatory approval or oversight.”

Klesh’s experience includes advising a wide range of food, drug, device and cosmetic companies on all aspects of FDA regulatory and compliance issues, including marketing and promotional practices, FDA’s good manufacturing practices requirements, and clinical research initiatives.

She also has extensive experience evaluating claim substantiation issues and developing advertising and labeling claims under National Advertising Division decisions and FTC and FDA rules. She has advised food and dietary supplement companies on “structure function” claims, health claims and nutrient content claims, and has assisted cosmetic and drug companies with the FDA’s Over-the-Counter drug monograph and related labeling requirements. Her practice also involves the evaluation of organic claims, green claims, endorsements and testimonials, among others.

“I have known and respected the Loeb & Loeb team for many years. I am consistently impressed with the firm’s superb lawyers, deep experience and commitment to client service. I’m pleased to join this talented group,” Klesh said.

“We’re excited to welcome Kristen to the office, and to continue our commitment to growing our team advising clients on complex FDA and FTC regulatory issues,” said Rich Lorenzo, office administrative partner, Washington, D.C.

Klesh joins Loeb & Loeb from Venable LLP. She earned a B.S. from Northwestern University and her J.D. from American University.
