Loeb Represents CMLS in Sale to Aquiline Capital Partners

Loeb & Loeb represented CMLS, LLC a leading provider of support services for physicians performing qualified medical evaluations (QMEs) for workers' compensation claims, in its acquisition by Aquiline Capital Partners, a private investment firm based in New York and London. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

According to Aquiline’s press release, CMLS will be incorporated into MDpanel, a new platform dedicated to the efficient delivery of medical opinions as part of the workers' compensation insurance claims process. MDpanel serves more than 250 evaluation sites and has supported over a million evaluations across a variety of specialties, including orthopedics, psychiatry, pain management, chiropractic and internal medicine.

The Loeb deal team advising CMLS in the transaction was led by Capital Markets & Corporate partner Allan Duboff and included partners Robert Barry and Barry Mehlman and associates Ryan Kashfian and Marina Ahmad; Tax partner Ryan Austin; Real Estate partner Connie Pak and associate Hana Hong; and Advanced Media & Technology associate Eric Cook.
