Loeb Client Black Label Media to Donate Portion of “Devotion” Film Box Office Profits to Scholarship Fund for Children of U.S. Navy Veterans

Loeb & Loeb is proud to share that its client, Los Angeles-based film finance and production company Black Label Media, has made a philanthropic pledge in connection with the new film, “Devotion,” an aerial war epic that tells the harrowing true story of elite Navy aviators and Korean War heroes Jesse Brown and Thomas Hudner. Their heroic sacrifices would ultimately make them the Navy's most celebrated wingmen.

According to a Variety news announcement, Black Label Media, the producer of “Devotion,” plans to donate the majority of the film’s box office profits to establish the Brown Hudner Navy Scholarship Foundation, a new nonprofit inspired by the story of Jesse and Tom and managed by the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation. When U.S. Navy aviator Jesse fell during the Korean War, his comrade, Tom, and other shipmates took up a collection for Jesse’s daughter’s college fund. The Brown Hudner Navy Scholarship Foundation continues this tradition by offering scholarship grants to the children of active duty, reserve, honorably discharged and fallen Navy Sailors.

For more information about the Brown Hudner Navy Scholarship Foundation, please visit the foundation's website. More information about “Devotion” and Black Label Media’s donation to the foundation is available in Variety’s news announcement.
