Loeb & Loeb LLP announced today that Los Angeles corporate lawyer Marc A. Jones has joined the firm as a partner in the Corporate Practice. Jones has nearly 25 years of experience representing private equity firms, strategic buyers, sellers, targets and issuers across a wide range of industries. Most recently, he served as chairman of the corporate department at his prior law firm.
Jones handles a wide array of complex business transactions, including strategic acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, venture and growth capital financings, corporate governance controversies, joint ventures, recapitalizations and restructurings, executive compensation and incentive equity matters.
“Marc is a highly-respected lawyer and leader with extensive experience in the M&A, private equity and venture capital spaces,” said Arash Khalili, co-chair of the Capital Markets and Corporate Department at Loeb & Loeb. “We are focused on strategic, measured growth of our corporate practice, and Marc is an important addition to our deep bench of talent here on the West Coast.”
“Loeb’s corporate transactional platform, footprint and collaborative culture drew me in,” said Jones. “I’m excited to join this esteemed group and look forward to growing the practice alongside my new colleagues.”
Jones earned his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Law, M.B.A. from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, and B.A. from the University of California, Davis.
Jones is the second partner to join Loeb & Loeb’s L.A. Corporate practice in recent weeks, following Eric Lee’s addition to the firm in April.
Loeb’s Corporate Practice advises a diverse array of clients, from startups and emerging growth companies to large, established corporations, both public and private, as well as private equity and venture funds, high net worth individuals, and family offices. Loeb’s corporate lawyers provide practical, business-savvy advice on the full range of transactional matters — formation and organization, capital raising and financings, strategic business combinations, operational changes, joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions, and exit strategies — as well as on day-to-day commercial activities and governance issues.
