Loeb Advises RFR Holding in Lease to Industrious in Manhattan

Loeb & Loeb represented RFR Holding, a Manhattan-based real estate investment and management company, in connection with a seven-year lease with Industrious, a leading workplace provider for companies, for 33,231 square feet at 190 Bowery in the Nolita section of Manhattan.

Industrious will occupy all of the office space in the six-story, 38,000-square-foot Beaux Arts landmark owned by RFR Holding, located at the corner of Spring Street and the Bowery.

Built in 1898 as the Germania Bank, 190 Bowery is one of New York City’s most architecturally distinctive and historically significant properties. Following RFR’s acquisition of the building in 2015, the property was meticulously restored for modern office use while preserving its original details and artistic character. The building’s storied history includes decades of ownership by photographer Jay Maisel and artwork by renowned artists such as Keith Haring and Shepard Fairey.

Loeb Real Estate partner Peter Strauss and associate Ashley Ravins represented RFR in connection with the transaction.
