X Plans for AI on Collision Course With Latest US Privacy Laws

Jessica B. Lee, chair of Loeb & Loeb’s Privacy, Security, & Data Innovations practice, is quoted in Bloomberg Law discussing the intricacies of privacy policies in light of tech companies, such as X Corp (formerly known as Twitter), revising their privacy policies to leverage users’ data with artificial intelligence (AI) technology.

“As someone who writes these privacy policies, the challenge with writing them is that the direction is to be very straightforward, clear, and easy to read, but to provide really comprehensive information,” said Jessica. “The flip side of it being very clear and easy to read is that it’s not clear necessarily what information will be used to train the models.”
