Years After Discovery of a Software Company Breach, Russian Hackers Could Be Struggling

Loeb Litigation partner Christopher Ott is quoted in an article published by The Washington Post discussing the role of cyberattacks in Russia’s war with Ukraine. 

In examining the cyber aspect of the conflict, Christopher mentioned that the recent leaks of classified U.S. documents on the platform Discord are probably complicating Russia’s ability to carry out cyber campaigns. “We can see from the Discord leaks that there’s a fairly intensive compromise of Russian military intelligence,” Christopher said. He went on to add, “Because they’re in the middle of an invasion, it’s going to be difficult for them to clean back out… some of their communications capabilities.”
