A New Era of Noncompetes May Shake Up Hollywood Contracts

Loeb Entertainment senior counsel Dimitry Krol is quoted in an article published by The Hollywood Reporter discussing the Federal Trade Commission’s released proposed rule, which would bar employers from making workers agree to noncompetes which prevent employees from taking on jobs with competitors for a certain period of time after leaving the company.

“This is a sign of the times. There is pro-worker sentiment and legislation being promulgated by the Biden administration. I don’t think this is going to be the last we see of these types of rules and regulations,” Dimitry told the publication.
