Linna Chen were featured as “legal lions” by Law360 for their “come-from-behind victory” on behalf of Sony Corp. in the defense of a copyright infringement case over pop star Shakira’s song “Loca.” The team convinced a New York federal judge to dismiss the case with prejudice, negating the judge’s earlier finding of liability against Sony, based on evidence that the plaintiff orchestrated an elaborate fraud by fabricating a cassette tape of the song to push a false claim.
