NEW YORK – Loeb & Loeb LLP and Worldwide Investor Network (WIN), in partnership with key officials from the Republic of Lithuania, announced that they will co-host a special luncheon and roundtable discussion today exploring opportunities to promote Lithuania-U.S. exchanges in innovation, entrepreneurship and venture capital investment.
The event, to be held at Loeb & Loeb’s New York office, will bring together leaders from the Lithuanian government and top professionals from the New York venture capital community to explore channels for cross-border investment.
Special guests will include Rimantas Zylius, Lithuanian Minister of the Economy, Zygimantas Pavilionis, Lithuanian Ambassador to the United States, and Milda Darguzaite, Managing Director of Invest Lithuania.
“We are delighted to meet with the leaders of this emerging nation and discuss strategies in accessing the U.S. venture capital market,” said Loeb & Loeb partner Lloyd Rothenberg, who is moderating the event. “Eastern Europe has become a hotbed for innovation and opportunities for U.S. investors in the area are abundant.”
According to Invest Lithuania, the foreign direct investment arm of the Republic of Lithuania, the country is an emerging hub for information and communications technology, integrated science, and research within the Baltic Sea region. A significant amount of Lithuanian talent is concentrated in science and technology.
“As Lithuania looks to increase its export of technology startups to the U.S. market, we look forward to helping these top entrepreneurs and exciting early-stage companies shorten their path for funding and acceleration,” commented Eyal Bino, founder of Worldwide Investor Network (WIN). The key to this is integrating them into our NY-based ecosystem, and connecting them with key local investors and partners like Loeb & Loeb who can help them succeed.”
“We are honored to participate in this exciting event hosted by both Loeb & Loeb and Worldwide Investor Network and thank them for their outstanding support as we explore ways to build a better bridge for investment and commerce between Lithuania and the U.S.,” added Krista Bard, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Lithuania.
