Leah Bishop Honored as Trusts and Estates Lawyer of the Year by the Century City Bar Association

Loeb & Loeb Partner Leah Bishop has been named Trusts and Estates Lawyer of the Year by the Century City Bar Association (CCBA). Bishop accepted the award last night at the CCBA’s 43rd Annual Installation Banquet and Awards Ceremony.

The Century City Bar Association’s annual “Lawyer of the Year” Awards honor Century City attorneys who have achieved extraordinary accomplishments in their fields while demonstrating a commitment to public service and charitable work. The five 2011 honorees were chosen by a panel of peer lawyers.

“I’m honored by the recognition and thrilled to be in such great company,” said Bishop. “It’s a privilege to have your work acknowledged by such a valued organization as the Century City Bar Association, which provides a sense of community and important educational opportunities for Century City lawyers.”

Bishop focuses her practice on estate and gift tax planning for high net worth individuals and closely held business, and in the administration of estates and trusts. She also has extensive experience in the areas of charitable giving and tax-exempt organizations, and represents many leading private foundations and public charities. Bishop has lectured widely on charitable giving and wealth management and participates frequently as a panelist on related issues. She is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and a certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law.

Loeb & Loeb's Trusts and Estates Practice represents a broad client base of individuals and families, businesses, fiduciaries and tax-exempt organizations in a wide range of trust and estate matters, including estate plans, settlement of estate tax issues and the resolution of multimillion-dollar disputes over the distribution of family wealth.
