Peer v. Lamco

Successful representation of BMI, EMI and Peer Music in case covering hundreds of musical compositions claimed by other publishers and performing rights organizations. (Peer v. Lamco).
Represented BMI and several music publishing companies in a series of related copyright infringement actions involving Latin American Music Co. (LAMCO) and Association de Compositores y Editores de Musica de Latinoamericana Inc. (ACEMLA), a purported performing rights society.  The District Court granted partial summary judgment in favor of our clients.  A Special Master was then appointed to confirm the ownership of each of the 468 songs identified in our complaint.
