Represented the defendants, the recording group Beastie Boys, its record company EMI and music publishing company, Universal Music, in connection with plaintiff's claim of copyright infringement. The U.S. District Court for the Central District of California granted defendants' motion for summary judgment finding that the portion of the work allegedly taken lacked originality and that any copying was de minimis.
