Four Loeb Partners Named in Variety’s “Music Legal Elite” List for 2026

Loeb & Loeb is proud to announce that John Frankenheimer, chair of the firm’s Music industry group; Derek Crownover, vice chair of the Music industry group; Debbie White, vice chair of the Music industry group; and Entertainment partner Monika Tashman have been selected for inclusion in the “Music Legal Elite" list by Variety for 2026. The annual report highlights lawyers driving the entertainment industry forward through high-impact deals, strategic advocacy and a steadfast commitment to protecting creative rights in an increasingly complex, AI-driven landscape. 

In an accompanying profile, the firm is lauded for its work on industry-shaping music rights transactions, advising on a series of high-profile catalog and publishing deals involving Sony Music Publishing, Morgan Wallen and Zach Bryan. Debbie is noted for her longstanding representation of HYBE and BTS, whereas Derek is noted for advising Big Loud Records and Dolly Parton on significant commercial and brand strategy initiatives. In addition, Monika is noted for counseling Debbie Harry, Blondie and Modern English, including the sale of the iconic song “I Melt With You” to Round Hill.
