Gov. Gray Davis Appointed to California’s Task Force on Business and Jobs Recovery

Loeb & Loeb is proud to announce that Governor Gray Davis (Ret.) will serve as an Honorary Member on California Governor Gavin Newsom’s Task Force on Business and Jobs Recovery, the group charged with developing action plans to support the State’s recovery from the economic impacts caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Governor Davis joins a distinguished group of business, political and social leaders across the state, including former Governors Edmund G. Brown Jr., Arnold Schwarzenegger and Pete Wilson, as well as Former Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen, Disney Executive Chairman Bob Iger and Apple CEO Tim Cook, among many others.

“Governors understand that the number one task is ensuring the health and economic security of every Californian. The future will be different, but it is bright,” said Governor Davis. “With Governor Newsom’s leadership, California will continue to be a national model. We will emerge stronger and more resilient.”

The Task Force will develop a range of actionable economic recovery plans for communities across the State, focusing initially on those communities and groups most significantly impacted by the pandemic. The Task Force will be divided into smaller working groups, each focusing on various sectors that drive California’s economy. The Task Force met for the first time on April 22nd, and will meet twice-monthly throughout 2020.
